First of all, this is a gorgeous shot! What a view...beautiful.
It's clearly 1963 from the hair styles and clothing of the folks on the escalator. So the person looking at the camera in the Skyway gondola is a young girl (who looks surprisingly like my wife as a child).
But if this photo were a mere 10 years later in 1973, upon closer inspection, the person riding in the gondola actually looks like my uncle with his 1970s haircut and hip clothes. It's amazing what a difference one decade can make.
Always an excellent location for just looking around an absorbing the flavor of a world which should have been.
